Day at leisure in Harrogate to explore this historic town or why not take in the flower show.The North of England Horticultural Society (NEHS) has been organising shows in Harrogate since 1923.The Show grounds, home also of the Great Yorkshire Show in July each year now hosts floral extravaganzas in Spring and Autumn, with 70% under cover, mostly on hard surfaces making it easily accessible whatever the weather.
Visit to York, the north’s spiritual capital for over 200 years and central to Britain’s colourful history.
Tour around Emmerdale country, through Harewood – near the current film sets, Otley
– the setting for Hotten, and Esholt, the original setting for Beckindale. Call into the Woolpack and Stroll around the village.
