Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother first saw what was then Barrogill Castle on the North coast of Caithness, in 1952. Falling for its isolated charm and hearing it was to be abandoned, she decided to save it. The castle was then renovated and restored and the beautiful gardens you see today were created. On this 3 day tour, staying at the Royal Hotel in Thurso we will take in some wonderful scenery including the ‘Million Dollar Viewpoint’ as well as visiting the Falls of Shin.

Today we travel to Inverness where we depart from the harbour out onto the Moray Firth, for the best chance of seeing the most northerly group of bottlenose dolphins in the world plus common seals, grey seals and porpoise. The film version of The Da Vinci Code was launched in 2006 and has captured the imagination of millions and sparked debates about many historic events.
Part of the story takes place at the Rosslyn Chapel in Edinburgh. This day trip gives you the opportunity to experience for yourself the impressive sand stone building and it’s wealth of detailed carvings and intricate stonework.
