Cumbria is one of the most beautiful regions in Britain, perfect if you’re looking for a tranquil and relaxing break. The hills and
mountains provide a glorious backdrop to the area and contrast with the hundreds of Lakes that give the area its Lake District title.
Grange-over-Sands is one of the loveliest spots on this stretch of Irish Sea coastline and lies within several miles of LakeWindermere.
There are plenty of attractive and individual shops in the town, including gift shops and galleries. The 72 mile train route from Carlisle
to Settle takes you through the gentle, lush rolling hills of the EdenValley with rural villages and market towns before entering the
magnificentYorkshire Dales and plunging in to the longest tunnel on the line at Blea Moor and over the 24 arches of the Ribblehead
Viaduct. |
