Our base for this tour is Clydebank, home to the Clydebank Museum, which lies close to the shipyard where many famous liners were built. Our hotel, ideally situated on the banks of the River Clyde is just a short distance from the cosmopolitan centre of Glasgow. In line with the water theme of this tour we will be taking in some of the very best scenes Scotland has to offer. We will follow the line of the River Clyde, which has always played an important role in the history of Glasgow. It is often said ‘Glasgow made the Clyde and the Clyde made Glasgow’. Not forgetting captivating Loch Lomond, which must be the world’s most famous Loch and has been much written about, both in song and verse. The area is renowned for its beauty and tranquillity and offers picture postcard views around every corner.
